About me

Born in Africa and raised across three continents, my personal journey has been shaped by exposure to diverse cultures, perspectives, and experiences. I spent my childhood in West Africa, my adolescence in India, and now call Maryland my home. Over the years, I've worn many professional hats, from biomedical researcher, to management consultant and currently, I work in oncology drug development in the biopharma industry. These varied roles have given me the privilege of working with incredible people from all over the world and all walks of life, each with their own unique journeys and life experiences.

My passion for capturing moments traces back to my childhood. Growing up, each summer, my parents and I would travel through various countries on our way back from Africa to India to visit family, and my father would capture countless photographs to preserve our memories. Looking back at these photos, I realize the profound power of preserving memories—the magic that allows us to revisit moments and places we can no longer physically return to, the power of a simple photograph that can take us back to the people we loved, the places we remember, and evoke the emotions we felt in those moments now lost in time.

As a mother myself, I find immense joy in photographing my two children, documenting their milestones, and capturing fleeting moments of their childhood. During the pandemic, I made a conscious decision to dedicate more time to photography, focusing on the beauty of everyday life and the connections we share with those around us. What I love most about photography is its power to tell stories—to capture the essence of human life in a single frame. I am particularly drawn to photographing people, whether in posed portraits or candid moments, as I seek to create a connection between the subject and the viewer. For me, photography is not just about the image—it’s about capturing the emotion, the narrative, and the shared human experience that it represents.
